McMaster University made it possible for Wampaalu Peter Balyawula to represent Uganda at the International Brain Bee in August, 2009.
Wampaalu Peter Balyawula was one of several Ugandan high school students who competed in the 2009 Uganda National Brain Bee Championship. Based on his excellent performance in that competition, he qualified to represent Uganda and compete in the International Brain Bee along with other national champions from around the world.
The International Brain Bee Championship is sponsored by the University of Maryland in Baltimore, The Nimmagadda Foundation and the International Brain Research Organization, and was hosted in August 2009 in Toronto, in conjunction with the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Sekabira Wilson is the Chair of the Uganda National Brain Bee; he accompanied Wampaalu Peter Balyawula on his trip to Canada. McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada provided all travel and accommodation expenses for both Wampaalu Peter Balyawula and Dr. Sekabira Wilson.
